(Washington, DC) – The African American Mayors Association (AAMA) acknowledges President Trump’s recent cabinet nominations and appointments and looks forward to working with the new administration to continue to advance our policy priorities. AAMA’s work centers around five key policy pillars: resilience, health, infrastructure, public safety and community revitalization, and voting rights and civic engagement. Our policy committees and task forces, which are led by mayors on the ground, aim to create healthier, safer, and more affordable communities.

AAMA continues to support advancing homeownership, economic opportunity, and community revitalization for our residents in rural and underserved communities, and our organization will look to the administration’s tax package as a significant opportunity to reflect our priorities and support the important work that our mayors undertake.
